I have a friend in Florida that I manage to see a couple of times a year.

We happened to be in her part of the country when diesel was close to $5 a gallon.

We also had a fuel stop while we were there.

We had been discussing the gas prices and she was telling us how thankful she was to have a fuel efficient car.

I invited her to watch the fuel pump while I put in over 130 gallons into our Freightliner. You can imagine the look on her face when she saw the total dollar amount.

And then I explained to her that we weren't even on empty.
