Hello!

I like this forum and the emphasis on staying healthy.  Smiley

I'm basically set on getting started in trucking, so I'm now scanning for a good way to get my CDL and get entry employment with good miles.

CDL mills seem bad
and so far company sponsored CDL training, with work contracts seem pretty good. (though it likely depends on the exact program and company!)

Can anyone recommend anything good near Philly?

I don't know about Philly, but Swift has a terminal (or had) a terminal near Harrisburg.

The thing to do, is contact the trucking companies that offer training and find out if they are hiring out of your area. Many trucking companies do not necessarily require you live in a city where they have a terminal.

Also most of them will fly you out (or via bus or reimburse your cost to travel) to orientation and/or training.

Talk to the recruiters. Unfortunately some company recruiters are less honest than others.

Just go to google all these companies will have websites.
