I followed Gypsy JoElle here from truckersforum.  I like the personal feel and focusing on the enjoyment and travel parts of trucking.

I'm 35, and after 2 business projects didn't take, I've narrowed in on trucking as a near-ideal career.   Quiet time in solitude, traveling the country, always moving, and being a traveling nomad has great appeal to me.
I have no girlfriend, partner, kids, residence, or any other solid ties.  I would travel and sleep in a truck for free, so it sure seems like a good thing to be paid for

Right now I'm trying to learn what one needs to know to avoid pitfalls and get the best start possible.  So I don't have too much to contribute, but hope to once I do!

I'm usually on the quiet side and have a big preference for peace, respect, and good will, so I would love to find a company who'd value that and reciprocate

just ordered some books, and am endlessly reading the trucker forums and net to learn more...
